Dave Agnew – Head Coach
Dave grew up in Anchorage, Alaska where he played youth and high school hockey. After graduating high school, he moved to Kalamazoo, MI to play two years for the Kalamazoo Jr. K-Wings of the NAHL almost winning the US Junior National Tournament by finishing second in 1993.
After juniors, Dave played two years for the Western Michigan University Broncos. He then joined the WMU Stallions in their inaugural season of 1995-96 where he captained the team to an ACHA Division II national championship. He served as player/assistant coach the following season and helped the team to a fifth place finish in the 1996-97 ACHA Division I national championship. He also played for the Kalamazoo K-Wings of the UHL for the 2001-02 season.
Dave has been coaching in the Kalamazoo area for 15 years including AA, AAA and High School levels including 4 years as coach of the Mattawan Wildcats of the West Michigan High School Hockey League. He is currently in his third year as the head coach of the Stallions.
Dave currently resides in Paw Paw, MI with wife Stephanie and three boys Cameron, Tyler and Brady.

Clark “Corky” Osborn – Athletic Trainer
Corky is a native of Battle Creek, Michigan and a graduate of Ohio State University, with a degree in Athletic Training and Sports Medicine. After an 18-year career as the head trainer for NHL and IHL Hockey teams across the country, he has settled in the Mattawan area with his wife Jennifer, and is currently working as a therapist at Physical Therapy Services in Kalamazoo.
Corky’s hockey career was accentuated with seasons as head trainer for the New York Rangers and the Pittsburgh Penguins, including the 1991-92 Stanley Cup Champion Penguins. These years with the NHL, combined with his International Hockey League tenure as trainer for the Michigan K-Wings, and other teams, Corky reached an impressive milestone of 1500 professional games. This accomplishment was acknowledged with an award from the Professional Hockey Athletic Trainers Society in January of 2000, while he served as trainer for the Michigan K-Wings. Corky also had the distinct pleasure of being selected as the medical trainer for the “Masters of Hockey” tournament, held in Stockholm, Sweden in 1990. A team that was comprised of NHL hall of fame players, assembled by renowned NHL player and executive Phil Esposito, represented North America at a worldwide tournament, and consequently, went undefeated.
Corky is a long-standing member of the Professional Hockey Athletic Trainers Society and also served as President of the International Hockey Trainers and Equipment Managers Society for eight years during his vocation.
When asked about his association with the WMU Stallions, Corky is quoted as saying, “ After being blessed with a very rewarding career, and having worked and made everlasting friendships with some of the greatest players and coaches in the game, I truly find it an honor and privilege to work with this assembly of dedicated and talented hockey players, who love to play the game so much that they are willing to pay to do so. They (the Stallions) deserve all the respect and support in the world, because in my mind, it’s a virtue that is lost by most pros as soon as that first contract is signed.”
Corky greatly anticipates both the challenges and rewards that will surely come from his job of keeping the WMU Stallions healthy and injury-free during their next season.
